Europe settles mixed

European stocks settled mixed on Tuesday as tensions continued on the Korean Peninsula.

The DAX increased 0.08% with Linde being the best performer as it gained 2.9%. Volkswagen and Vonovia followed with increases of 2.36% and 1.27%, respectively. 

The CAC 40 closed flat as Carrefour jumped over 3%. 

The FTSE 100 fell 0.21%. The worst performer was Shire whose stocks lost 2.36%.

The euro declined 0.66% against the dollar, buying 1.177 at 5:53 pm CET. At the same time, the pound traded 0.39% in the red against the greenback, changing hands for 1.3415.
