Wall Street closes mostly lower after Fed decision

Wall Street finished the trading session on Wednesday in the red after the Federal Reserve unanimously decided to hike interest rates for the third time this year. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said that risks to the economic outlook "appear roughly balanced." Furthermore, Powell told reporters during his press briefing that the Fed doesn't see inflation surprising to the upside.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost over 100 points, ending 0.40% in the negative as DowDuPont dropped 1.53%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 declined 0.33% with Cintas plunging 5.54% as the worst performer, while the Nasdaq 100 closed flat. The euro traded 0.20% lower against the dollar at 10:03 pm CET, buying 1.17419.
