Markets in Japan, China, S.Korea mixed amid Nissan report, data

Markets in Japan, China and South Korea traded mixed on Friday, while markets in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Indonesia were closed due to a public holiday. Investors kept an eye on reports that carmaker Nissan plans to cut its global output by 15% and that Japan's inflation went up 0.5% in March. The White House also said that US President Donald Trump will visit Japan from May 25 to 28 and meet the new emperor.

Japanese Nikkei 225 traded 0.58% higher at 4:23 am CET. The dollar traded 0.05% lower against the yen, to go for 111.9370 at 4:20 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite declined by 0.19% at 4:24 am CET while the Shenzhen Composite dropped 0.23% at the same time.

South Korean Kospi Composite was up 0.28% at 4:19 am CET.
