Deutsche Bank US COO resigns - reports

Tuesday, 04. June 2019 22:03

Deutsche Bank AG's Chief Operating Officer for the Americas Kate Clifford is stepping down from her post, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday citing sources familiar with the matter.

Clifford, who joined the German bank's investment banking division in 2014, was promoted to COO early last year. Her successor has not been named and she could not be reached for comment. A Deutsche Bank spokeswoman also declined to comment on the matter.

The reports come after the German flagship lender plunged to €5.801 per share for the first time on Monday amid doubts about its future and the availability of funds required for another massive restructuring effort. It has now lost 16.51% since the start of the year and has set new all-time lows in eight of the last 14 trading days.
