Wall Street trades higher in premarket ahead of Fed meeting

Shares on Wall Street were higher during the Tuesday's premarket trade session ahead of the Federal Reserve June meeting during which a decision on interest rate cuts may be announced. Worries of the ongoing trade dispute between Washington and Beijing were subdued slightly after Microsoft Corp. said it will restart its sale of Huawei laptops online, the first US-based tech giant to normalize business relations with the Chinese firm. Concurrently, a large number of US companies reiterated their objection to additional tariffs on Chinese imports.

The Dow Jones was jumped 0.15% at 4:16 am ET. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 rose 0.22% while the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.93%.

The euro declined 0.16% compared to the dollar at 4:15 am ET, buying 1.1198. At the same time, the British pound traded flat against the greenback, changing hands for 1.2533.
