T-Mobile's EPS rise 18% to $1.09 in Q2

T-Mobile US Inc. announced on Thursday that its revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2019 amounted to $11 billion, up 4% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the telecommunications company earned $1.09 per diluted share, up 18% on an annual basis. Net income jumped 20% to $939 million versus the second quarter 2018, while adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $3.5 billion for the same time period.

The telecommunication company noted its customer net additions in the three-month period stood at 1.8 million, growing 11% compared to the net additions in the second quarter of the previous year. Branded postpaid phone churn reached an all-time record-low of 0.78%.

"The T-Mobile team of rock stars delivers quarter, after quarter, after quarter! Record-low customer churn and our best Q2 customer numbers in years. This is in addition to record service revenue, record Q2 net income, and record Adjusted EBITDA," CEO John Legere stated, adding the company is continuing to build its nationwide 5G network.
