The United States White house may issue an executive order to put the Federal Trade Commission oversight over social networks, CNN reported.

The draft of the order is calling for the FCC to develop new regulations for clarifying how and when the law protects social media websites when they decide to remove or suppress content on their platforms. Despite being in its early stages, the Trump administration's draft order also calls for the Federal Trade Commission to take the new policies into account when it investigates or files lawsuits against misbehaving companies.
