Wall Street jumps 150 pts premarket on trade hopes

Shares on Wall Street posted strong gains in early premarket trading on Friday as trade optimism returned after the comments made by President Donald Trump and China's Foreign Ministry. US president stressed that talks with Beijing in September are "still on" and expressed optimism there would be no retaliation to the latest tariffs on Chinese goods. Earlier, China's Foreign Ministry said it hopes Washington would be ready to compromise in future trade negotiations. Markets in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong posted gains as the sentiment improved.

At 2:19 am ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 153 points, or 0.60%. The Nasdaq 100 was spiked 0.87% concurrently, while the S&P 500 advanced 0.65% in premarket trade.

The euro traded flat against the dollar at 2:20 am ET, buying $1.11029.
