Dow jumps 250 points premarket as trade concerns ease

Stocks in the United States extended gains in premarket trading on Friday with the Dow Jones surging 250 points on fresh trade optimism fueled by US President Donald Trump's latest comments on trade talks with China.

Trump stated that the planned September negotiations with Beijing are still on and claimed China will not impose countermeasures in response to upcoming US tariffs as it wants to make a trade deal with Washington.

The Dow Jones surged 1% or 254 points at 5:18 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 soared 1.4% at 5:19 am ET and the S&P 500 rose by 1.04% at the same time. The euro declined 0.20% against the dollar to sell for 1.10846 at 5:20 am ET.
