Wall Street closes higher after ECB launches new QE program

Trading on Wall Street finished in the green on Thursday after the European Central Bank voted to reintroduce quantitative easing in an effort to stimulate the economy. The new QE program will entail €20 billion per months of asset purchases and will start from November 1.

Meanwhile, in trade developments, it was reported that the Trump administration is scrambling to avoid Chineses tariffs on US goods.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.17% at the close, led higher by Visa. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 gained 0.29% as LKQ Corporation rocketed over 11%. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.38% with PayPal Holdings rising nearly 3% to the top of the chart.
