Dow falls 100 points

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 100 points on Friday after China revealed its growth was at a 30-year low in the third quarter of the year. Meanwhile, investors remain focused on the start of the earnings season as well as political issues such as Brexit and Turkey's new Syria deal with the United States.

The Dow was 0.31% in the red at 10:50 am ET. The index was led lower by Johnson & Johnson after the company said it would be recalling its baby powder over traces of asbestos. The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.51% at 10:52 am ET and the S&P 500 was down 0.22% at the same time.
