Nike CEO to step down

Nike Inc. announced on Tuesday its CEO Mark Parker will be stepping down effective January 2020.

Parker will be replaced by John Donahoe, who is the current president and CEO of ServiceNow Inc., as well as the chairman of PayPal Holdings, Inc. Previously, Donahoe headed eBay Inc. and was the CEO and Worldwide Managing Director of Bain & Co. Parker will become executive chairman and lead the clothing company's board.

"I am delighted John will join our team. His expertise in digital commerce, technology, global strategy and leadership combined with his strong relationship with the brand, make him ideally suited to accelerate our digital transformation and to build on the positive impact of our Consumer Direct Offense," Parker said in the press release.
