Dow ends 300 pts higher on trade optimism

Wall Street equities finished trading on Friday with significant gains, enough for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 to hit all-time highs as China's Ministry of Commerce said they reached consensus in trade talks with the United States.

The Dow reached a four-month high as Walgreens Boots Alliance and Caterpillar led the way with gains over 4% each. By the end of the session, the Dow was 1.11% or more than 300 points in the green. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.96% as Skyworks Solutions' stocks increased by nearly 8 %. The S&P 500 surged 0.97% with Qorvo skyrocketing over 20% at the closing bell after it announced the earnings for its fiscal second quarter of 2020, beating the estimates.

The euro went up 0.15% against the dollar to go for 1.11690 at 3:58 pm ET
