Dow turns green pulled by Walgreens, Boeing

The Dow stabilized in the green on Monday afternoon after opening with losses, pushed by gains posted by Walgreens and Boeing.

Walgreens was the best performer on the index, jumping 5.96% at 2:04 pm ET, after it was reported that KKR & Co. Inc. is seeking to acquire it. Boeing gained on the expectation of earlier deliveries of the grounded 737 MAX jet.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 0.10% at 2:09 pm ET, while the S&P 500 lost 0.17% and the Nasdaq 100 slid 0.16% at the same time.

The euro advanced 0.15% at 2:10 am ET to go for $1.10375.
