EIA: US crude inventories up by 0.8M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States increased by 822,000 barrels to 447.9 million barrels in the week ending December 6, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Wednesday.

US crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.6 million barrels per day, a decline of 201,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Refineries operated at 90.6% of their capacity while gasoline production decreased, averaging 9.8 million barrels per day.

Imports of crude oil in the US averaged 6.9 million barrels per day, up by 899,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week. Total commercial petroleum inventories rose by 17.2 million barrels.
