Europe opens in the green, DAX hits all-time high

European markets opened in the green on Wednesday as investors continued to focus on the World Economic Forum in Davos, as well as corporate earnings and the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, that has killed nine people.

The FTSE 100 increased 0.21% at 9:00 am CET. The best performer was Berkeley Group Holdings, whose shares surged 4.74% at 9:01 am CET.

The DAX climbed 0.41% at 9:02 am CET to reach an all-time high of 13,601.65 points. Covestro, up 3.35%, led the gains.

The CAC 40 gained 0.16% at 9:00 am CET as Kering rose 1.06% at 9:02 am CET.

The euro and the pound were both flat against the dollar, going for 1.10840 and 1.30478, respectively, at 9:02 am CET.
