T-Mobile US Inc. said on Wednesday that its revenue for the first fiscal quarter of 2020 stood at $11.11 billion, growing 0.3% annually but failing to meet the estimates. The company's net income rose 4.7% year-over-year to land at $951 million over the same three-month period, while its earnings per share (EPS) landed at $1.1, climbing 3.8% compared to the same trimester last year.

The communication technologies giant said its adjuster EBITDA was at $3.66 billion, an increase of 11.6% on an annual basis, while net cash from operations amounted to $1.62 billion in the first fiscal quarter, up 16% compared to the same period in 2019.

"In the face of a challenging climate for Q1, T-Mobile once again led the industry in postpaid phone net customer additions and set even more financial records, including record service revenues, record Q1 Net income and record Adjusted EBITDA," T-Mobile US CEO Mike Sievert said in a statement.

The company's shares climbed over 1% in after-hours trading after the announcement.
