US stocks recover losses

Major stock market indexes on Wall Street recovered losses which were seen at the start of the session as criticism of President Donald Trump mounted. Earlier, data showed that over 46 million people lost their jobs in the US since the start of the pandemic. Meanwhile, a report said that Congress wants to pass a $120 billion aid fund for restaurants affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

After falling around 270 points at the open, the Dow Jones Industrial Average turned positive as it increased by 0.01% at 11:30 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 gained 0.21% at 11:31 am ET as T-Mobile US jumped 3.19% at 11:32 am ET. The S&P 500 was 0.08% up at 11:32 am ET with DISH Network surging 6.94% at 11:33 am ET.

The euro lost 0.16% compared to the dollar at 11:33 to change hands for 1.12246.
