Wirecard sinks 29% as ex-CEO exits jail on €5M bail

Shares of Wirecard AG plunged almost 29% on Wednesday shortly after the news that the company's former Chief Executive Markus Braun was released from custody after posting bail of €5 million.

Meanwhile, Germany's authorities are reportedly also looking to arrest Wirecard's former Chief Operating Officer Jan Marsalek over his connections to the missing €1.9 billion of the company's funds.

Wirecard's stocks tumbled 28.59% to sell for €12.25 per share at 3:58 pm CET.
