United States stock markets finished Wednesday's trading session mixed after the ISM and IHS Markit reports showed that the country's manufacturing sector seemingly started to recover from the coronavirus crisis. On another positive note, the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement came into effect today.

At the same time, reports suggested Washington may implement additional sanctions against China over the country's treatment of Uyghurs, further increasing worries in regards to the already deteriorating relations between the world's two largest economies.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was 0.30% lower at the closing bell, with Walgreens Boots Alliance dropping 3.56%. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 1.21% reaching a new record high. The S&P 500 gained 0.50%. Amgen Inc. was the best performer on both indexes, adding 8.17%

The euro grew 0.16% against the dollar at 3:59 pm ET to sell for $1.12520.
