Wall Street opens higher on vaccine development news

Shares on Wall Streets traded higher at the sessions' open on Monday after pharma company Pfizer and German biotech BioNTech SE stated they expect to start the next phase of the vaccine trial later this month with 30,000 participants. Also, FAANG shares, as well as Tesla, kept investors believe they are flexible enough to resist the pandemic.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.84% at the open as JPMorgan & Chase grew by 3:02%. At the same time, the S&P 500 increased by 0.81% as Netflix went up by 4.70%. At the opening bell, the Nasdaq 100 jumped 1.04%, with Maxim Integrated Products leading the gains.

The euro rose 0.34% against the dollar, buying at $1.13371 at 9:26 am ET.
