Asia mixed after further Huawei restrictions

Equities on the Asian markets traded mixed on Tuesday as investors continued to monitor developments in relations between the United States and China. US President Donald Trump’s administration further tightened restrictions on Huawei, in order to limit the Chinese tech company's access to commercially available chips.

The Nikkei 225 lost 0.54% at 4:30 am CET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up by 0.18% at 4:39 am CET, while the Shanghai Composite rose by 0.10% at 4:25 am CET. The Shenzhen Composite traded flat at 4:40 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 increased by 0.28% at 4:41 am CET and South Korea's Kospi fell 0.32% at the same time.

The dollar went for 105.6610 against the yen, decreasing 0.33% at 4:42 am CET.
