Software group SAP said on Monday that its latest survey showed that its customers are going through harsh revenue and earnings crisis while at the same time they are finding themselves under pressure to digitalize.

A survey was conducted by German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) and it says that both, the sharp fall in revenue and shrinking IT budgets are "acute consequences of the coronavirus crisis for companies." According to the report, the areas that need to change are "efficiency increases in existing processes, as well as the development of new, digital business models and services. "

SAP’s CEO Christian Klein (pictured) confirmed that the transformation in IT and technology sectors are expected and that SAP offers targeted support for its customers.
