United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation announced on Friday the hearing of Jack Dorsey, Sundar Pichai, and Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of – respectively – Twitter, Alphabet's Google, and Facebook would take place on October 28.

"The hearing will [...] examine legislative proposals to modernize the decades-old law, increase transparency and accountability among big technology companies for their content moderation practices, and explore the impact of large ad-tech platforms on local journalism and consumer privacy," its statement read.

Earlier this month, the committee announced it would subpoena Dorsey, Pichai, and Zuckerberg regarding the worries on a prized legal immunity covered by internet companies.
