Europe ends mixed with US stimulus, EU data in focus

Major European stock markets finished Thursday's trading session mixed after the European Commission reported that consumer confidence in the EU decreased by 1.6 points in October compared to September and stood at 16.5 points. Meanwhile, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi commented that progress regarding the United States stimulus bill has been made.

Still, the DAX lost 0.16% at the close as Delivery Hero SE went south by 2.14%. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.22% to end the day. Hargreaves Landsdown Plc rose by 4.97%. The CAC 40 stood flat at the close with Atos falling by 3.59%.

The euro went down by 0.25% against the dollar at 5:27 pm CET, trading for $1.18307 while the pound declined by 0.48% to $1.77489 a minute later.
