French President Emmanuel Macron unveiled on Friday that the country's government has no plans to reduce the curfew and added that even stricter containment measures can't be ruled out at this point.

At a press conference, Macron said that the restrictions will probably last until summer, and stressed that people will have to "live with the virus" until then.

A day ago, French health authorities reported a record number of daily COVID infections, while the country's Prime Minister Jean Castex unveiled that the overnight curfew will be introduced in more parts of the country.
