United States Governor of Wyoming Mark Gordon tested positive for the COVID-19, his office revealed in a statement according to CBS News.

The governor has experienced only minor symptoms of the illness and plans to resume his duties from self-isolation until he recovers, the statement explained.

The news of Gordon contracting the virus comes a week after a surge in daily infections prompted the Republican to implement a new statewide set of measures in order to limit the spread of the disease.
