Facebook Inc. stated that it removed United States President Donald Trump's video in which he addresses the riots in Washington DC. The company's Vide President of integrity Guy Rosen said it was removed "because on balance we believe it contributes to rather than diminishes the risk of ongoing violence."

Meanwhile, Twitter flagged the video, citing a "risk of violence." In the address, Trump called for peace, but he also repeated the claim that the presidential election was "stolen from us" and said he "loves" the rioters, calling them "very special."
