Deutsche Boerse CEO to step down

Thursday, 26. October 2017 16:57

Deutsche Bank AG said on Thursday that its CEO Carsten Kengeter will step down amid accusations of insider trading. The company said it accepted his resignation with "regret" and both Kengeter and Deutsche Boerse called the allegations against the official unfounded.

Kengeter is set to leave his position at the end of the year.

Earlier this year, the Frankfurt public prosecutor launched an investigation into the stock purchases Kengeter made three months before Deutsche Boerse agreed a €26 billion merger with the London Stock Exchange.
