Europe opens higher as DAX grows over 1%

European stock markets started trade with gains on Monday as investors focused on news that the US Senate passed a major tax bill over the weekend. Traders will also closely monitor this week's meeting of UK and EU negotiators.

German DAX advanced over 1% at 9:15 am CET with Deutsche Bank leading the gains.The German lender jumped around 2% while Linde and HeidelbergCement followed.

In France, the CAC 40 rose 0.7% at 9:17 am CET as ArcelorMittal gained 2.7%

London FTSE 100 added 0.79% at 9:17 am CET.

The euro declined 0.19% against the dollar to go for 1.1867 at 9:23 am CET. At the same time, sterling fell 0.16% against the greenback and changed hands for 1.345.
