DAX sinks over 1% to below 12,000 mark

Germany's benchmark index the DAX slipped below the 12,000 mark on Thursday, to trade at lowest since last Wednesday. The worst performer was Daimler, plunging 7%, after announcing yesterday a dividend of €3.25 per share. Covestro and RWE were far second, while Infineon was still in decline after it hit a 7-week low three days ago on the decision to halt shipments to the United States-sanctioned tech giant from China, Huawei.

The DAX was 1.43% in the red at 1:39 pm CET, at 11,995 points.
