Credit Suisse posts Q2 revenue of 5.5B Swiss francs, up 6% YoY

Credit Suisse reported on Wednesday that its revenue in the second quarter of 2019 amounted to 5.58 billion Swiss francs, an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year. Net income came in at 937 million Swiss francs, rising 45% on an annual basis, while pre-tax income jumped 24% year-on-year to reach 1.3 billion Swiss francs.

"“In the second quarter, we continued to deliver a strong operating performance through the disciplined execution of our strategy, with higher profits, both year on year and sequentially," said the bank's CEO Tidjane Thiam. "These results, delivered in a challenging environment, indicate that our bank has emerged from three years of restructuring with a strong franchise and an efficient platform, allowing us to support our clients and generate growing returns for our shareholders," he added.
