Europe closes in red after mixed data releases

The equities on European stock markets ended in red at the closing bell on Thursday after several data releases. Euro-area business climate fell slightly in November, with the Business Climate Indicator (BCI) down to -0.23 points. According to a report of the European Commission, consumer confidence improved in both the entire European Union (EU28) and the Eurozone in November while German consumer prices were set to decline by 0.8% in the same month. Meanwhile, Wall Street was closed for Thanksgiving Day.

The DAX closed with losses, slipping 0.31% as the session ended with the Bayerische Motoren Werke AG equities dropping 1.50%. The CAC 40 closed 0.28% in the red as Credit Agricole fell 1.54%. Meanwhile, the FTSE 100 lost 0.18% with the Vodafone Group that fell 3.91%.

The euro traded flat against the dollar, to change hands for 1.10068 at 5:33 pm CET.
