Europe closes higher on Brexit, trade

Equities on major European stock markets ended Friday's trading session in the green on the positive news regarding trade, as well as Brexit-related developments. The United Kingdom's Parliament voted in favor of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Brexit deal, breaking the prolonged stalemate in Britain's withdrawal from the European Union.

The FTSE 100 in London was 0.11% higher, with L'Oreal S.A. gaining 2.24%. Germany's DAX grew 0.81%, as Deutsche Boerse NA rose 2.72%. The French CAC 40 advanced 0.82%, with Carnival plc jumping 6.82%.

The euro dropped 0.43% against the dollar to sell for 1.10765 at 5:29 pm CET. The pound increased 0.22% to $1.30420 concurrently.
