Dow turns red premarket, drops over 100 pts

Both the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 indexes have turned negative in the premarket on Thursday shortly before the release of the jobless claims data report set to be published later today. Meanwhile, earnings season continued with multiple companies revealing their financial results for the first quarter of the year, including Kraft Heinz, Twitter, Comcast, McDonald's and Dow Inc.

The Dow Jones Index sank 0.52% or 128 points at 7:58 am ET, while the S&P 500 concurrently lost 0.32%. On the other hand, the Nasdaq 100 traded 0.85% higher a minute later.

The euro dipped versus the dollar to sell for $1.08688 at 7:59 am ET.
