US may tariff $3.1B more goods from EU, UK

The office of the United States Trade Representative revealed on Wednesday the Trump administration may impose new tariffs on goods coming from the European Union and the United Kingdom.

The government agency wants to put new levies on products such as olives, beer, gin, and trucks and increase existing ones for planes, cheese, and other goods.

The tariffs are a result of the long-running US-EU World Trade Organization dispute over support for the Boeing Co. and its rival Airbus SE.
