Ryanair to appeal Lufthansa's €9B bailout

Ryanair’s Chief Legal Officer Juliusz Gomorek said on Thursday the company will challenge the €9 billion Lufthansa bailout recently approved by the European Commission.

"Lufthansa needs it as a war chest to fight off competition, it doesn’t need it to survive," Gomorek commented shortly after the Commission's announcement.

Earlier in the month, Ryanair filed a lawsuit over the UK quarantine legislation, which imposed 14-day mandatory isolation for all visitors arriving in the country.
