Asian markets mixed after upbeat China data

Asian stock markets were mixed on Tuesday after the latest data reports from China. The country's retail sales recorded a rise for the first time this year, while industrial production was increased by 5.6% in August compared to the same month last year.

The Nikkei dropped 0.61% at 4:42 am CET. In South Korea, the Kospi Composite was up by 0.4% at 4:22 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was flat at 4:43 am CET.

China's Shenzhen Composite increased by 0.37% at 4:44 am CET, while the Shanghai Composite added 0.13% at the same time. The Hang Seng traded 0.33% higher at 4:45 am CET.

The dollar was flat compared to the yen and sold for 105.6645 at 4:46 am CET.
