Asia mostly higher after Japan's inflation report

Asian markets traded mixed on the last day of the week. Earlier, a new report by the Statistics Bureau of Japan revealed the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.2% in August compared to the same month last year.

The Nikkei 225 added 0.12% at 4:38 am CET. The Korean Kospi Composite was 0.2% in the green at 4:189 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 in Australia was flat at 4:40 am CET.

In China, the Shanghai Composite climbed 0.19% at 4:39 am CET. At the same time, the Shenzhen Composite was flat, as was the Hang Seng.

The dollar traded 0.09% higher compared to the yen and sold for 104.8415 at 4:42 am CET.
