United States President Donald Trump paid no income taxes for 10 of the 15 years before he was elected president, The New York Times (NYT) reported on Sunday after allegedly viewing Trump's tax information for the last 20 years.

Meanwhile, the US president's income tax payments in 2016 and 2017 amounted to just $750 after he won the Oval Office.

In a statement to the NYT, Alan Garten, a lawyer for the Trump Organization, denied the information from the report, underscoring that "over the past decade, President Trump has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announcing his candidacy in 2015,"
