European stocks turn negative amid COVID-19 concerns

Markets in Europe turned negative on Tuesday following a strong start to the session as worries about the coronavirus continued to affect sentiment. Mexico reported its highest daily rise in cases with over 28,000 new infections registered the previous day, while Russia's daily infections topped 11,000 again and were just under the country's record high recorded in May.

The FTSE 100 fell 0.50% at 10:27 am CET as Ocado Group plunged 4.61%.

The DAX declined 0.26% at 10:28 am CET with Vonovia, down 1.15%m leading the losses.

The CAC 40 dipped 0.34% at the same time. The worst performer was Worldline Worldline, whose shares lost 1.51%.
