Europe opens higher as earnings season continues

Major European stock markets opened in the green on Thursday, with the announcement of third-quarter results and earnings of several companies monopolizing the daily economic agenda. On the political front, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden appears to be one step away from the White House, while United States President Donald Trump already proceeded with lawsuits against what he claims to be "invalid ballots counting".

The DAX gained 0.62% at the open, as Delivery Hero SE went up by 2.79% at 9:08 am CET. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.30% with Ocado Group PLC moving up by 1.44% at 9:18 am CET. The CAC 40 advanced 0.69% as LVMH climbed by 1.81% at 09:20 CET.

The euro grew by 0.25% against the dollar to sell for $1.17454 at 9:05 am CET. Also, the pound sterling gained 0.22% to the greenback to exchange hands for $1.30158 at the same time.
