Europe opens lower with data in focus

Major European markets started Wednesday's session in the red after the United Kingdom reported that the UK producer prices fell by 1.4% in October while the inflation in the country went up to 0.7% in the same month. Also, the number of registered coronavirus deaths climbed by 10,502 on November 17, data compiled from health authorities worldwide showed. The figure marks the largest daily rise in fatalities from the disease since the pandemic started.

The DAX was down 0.40% at 9:00 am CET as MTU Aero Engines dropped by 2.05% at 9:02 am CET. The CAC 40 opened 0.27% lower with Unibail-Rodamco going down by 2.13% at 9:02 am CET. The FTSE 100 started 0.18% in the red. Hargreaves Lansdown Plc was the worst performer falling by 3.73% at 9:01 am CET.

The euro grew 0.15% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, buying 1.18840. The pound increased 0.21% against the greenback, to go for 1.32790.
