Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif (pictured) reacted on Friday to the death of a top nuclear scientist, believed to have been at the head of Iran's nuclear weapons program. He stated that there are "serious indications" that Israel played a role in the incident and called on the European Union to condemn it.

"Terrorists murdered an eminent Iranian scientist today. This cowardice - with serious indications of Israeli role - shows desperate warmongering of perpetrators. Iran calls on the international community - and especially EU - to end their shameful double standards and condemn this act of state terror," Zarif said in a statement.
