Europe opens higher on positive vaccine, Brexit news

Major European stock markets started Wednesday's trading session in the green driven mainly by the fact that the UK administered the first Covid-19 vaccines to the public on Tuesday, making it one of the first countries in the world to do so. Also, investors are monitoring the progress of post-Brexit trade deal talks between the European Union and the United Kingdom.

The FTSE 100 grew by 0.43% at the opening bell as International Consolidated Airlines Group jumped by 3.10%. The DAX increased by 0.50% with Covestro rising by 6.57%. The CAC 40 gained 0.53%. Renault increased by 1.83%.

The euro grew 0.20% against the greenback at 8:54 am CET, changing hands for 1.21307. The pound advanced 0.16% to sell for 1.33774 dollars at the same time.
