ThyssenKrupp revenue down 24% to €7.3B in Q1

German industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp AG announced on Wednesday its revenue in the fiscal first quarter fell 24% on the year to €7.3 billion. Meanwhile, the group posted a loss per share of €0.23, marking an improvement of 61% compared to the same period a year earlier.

According to the update, Thyssenkrupp also raised its full-year outlook for sales, cash flow and profits amid signs of economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

"In a continuing uncertain market environment, we had a good first quarter: we're noticing signs of an economic recovery and our measures to improve performance in the businesses are starting to bear fruit," Chief Executive Martina Merz said.
