Europe opens mostly up with data in focus

Major European stock indexes started mostly up on Friday as investors are monitoring data and corporate earnings to be announced. Markit Economics will release data on the services and manufacturing PMI for Germany, as well as for European Union and the UK. Both Renault and Allianz reported a fall in their revenues.

The DAX was 0.35% in the green at 9:03 am CET as Deutsche bank AG rose by 1.20% at 9:03 am CET. The CAC 40 grew by 0.19% at 9:00 am CET with Hermes jumping 7.85% at 9:02 am CET. The FTSE 100 stood flat at 9:00 am CET. Natwest Group Plc increased by 2.04% at 9:01 am CET.

The euro rose 0.18% against the dollar to 1.21135 at 8:57 am CET and the pound was up by 0.07% compared to the greenback, going for 1.339848 at the same time.
