Precious metals continue surge

Precious metals continued to soar on Tuesday with gold jumping nearly 1% to its highest since April 2018 on a subdued dollar. Meanwhile, investors keep watch over trade developments, with all eyes on the next round of talks between China and the United States in Washington later in the day as the March 2 deadline for a deal looms.

Gold jumped 0.97% to sell for $1,3339.27 per ounce at 6:25 pm CET. Meanwhile, silver climbed 1.09% to go for $15.98 per ounce at 6:26 pm CET, while platinum soared 1.82% to change hands for $821.29 per ounce at the same time. Palladium spiked 1.37% to sell for $1,477.16 at 6:27 pm CET.
