Asia mixed after trade talk developments

Major Asian stock markets traded mixed on Friday after reports emerged that a trade deal between the United States and China is shaping up. However, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said Washington will not be able to share information with countries that use Huawei technology. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated his government will continue to engage with China on trade issues.

The Japanese Nikkei 225 was 0.27% in the green at 4:37 am CET. The South Korean Kospi Composite lost 0.24% at 4:18 am CET.

China's Shanghai Composite was flat at 4:30 am CET while the Shenzhen Composite gained 0.10% at the same time. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 0.28% at 4:39 am CET.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was up 0.59% at 4:40 am CET.

The dollar traded just 0.04% higher against the yen, to go for 110.7420 at 4:41 am CET.
