Intel CEO Swan to step down on February 15 - report

Intel Corporation's CEO Bob Swan (pictured) will step down on February 15, CNBC reported on Wednesday citing sources close to the matter.

According to the report, Swan will be replaced by current VMWare CEO Pat Gelsinger.

Swan was appointed Intel CEO on an interim basis in 2018 and was given the full-time role in 2019. Before joining the chipmaker as chief financial officer (CFO) in 2016, he was the CFO at several companies including eBay.
